Chile Independence Day

Greetings everybody!

This week here in Chile we are celebrating our Independence from Spain, 205 years ago.
In the school we had a pretty good time, wearing traditional clothes, eating typical food, playing games and dancing some national dances. Here, some pictures and videos.

Typical “Huaso” clothes, modeled by a student of 1st grade.

One of the English teachers, prepparing the fire on a barbaque,
to cook “choripanes”, a kind of hot dog.

One of the most typical dances along Chile: the “cueca”. In this version, the student dances
to the national flag.

This dance is typical in the southern part of Chile, and it comes from a mixture with Argentinian dances.
